I WANT TO SWITCH FROM THE MARATHON TO THE HALF MARATHON. IS THAT POSSIBLE?

You can change your race distance before November 2, but no refunds will be issued. To make the change, follow these steps:

• Log in to your registrant account at: https://www.generalimaratonmalaga.com/my-registration/
• In the “Modify – Change Registration Type” section, select the race type you want to change to. Follow the steps and click “Save.”

I WANT TO CHANGE FROM HALF MARATHON TO MARATHON, IS THIS POSSIBLE?

To change from Half Marathon to Marathon, you must do so as follows:

Access your registration area with your details at: https://www.generalimaratonmalaga.com/mi-inscripcion/
In the Modify – Change rate section, select the category you wish to change to.
Follow the steps and click Save.

You will need to pay the difference in price when making the change.

Changes can be made before November 2.

WHERE AND WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY RACE NUMBER AND RUNNER’S BAG?

Race number pickup for the GENERALI Málaga Marathon will take place during the Marathon Expo, which will be held at FYCMA—the Málaga Trade Fair and Convention Center.

The hours for picking up race bibs are as follows:

• Friday, November 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday, November 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

You must pick up your race bib during these designated hours and present your ID card or passport for verification. Under no circumstances may race bibs be picked up on the day of the race.

I CAN’T COME IN PERSON TO PICK UP MY RUNNER’S BAG. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

In that case, someone else may pick up your runner’s bag by presenting your registration confirmation. Under no circumstances may race bibs be picked up on the day of the race.

WHERE AND WHEN DOES THE 2026 GENERALI MÁLAGA MARATHON START?

The GENERALI Málaga Marathon, in both the 42k and 21k distances, will start at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2026. The race will start on the Paseo del Parque, across from the University of Málaga’s Rector’s Office, with the finish line for the full marathon at the same location.

The finish line for the half marathon will be located in Plaza del General Torrijos.

I CAN’T COMPETE AND I WANT TO USE THE CANCELLATION GUARANTEE. WHAT CAN I DO?

As stated in our rules, you may only request a refund or a postponement to the next edition if you have purchased the cancellation guarantee within the timeframe specified in the rules.

You will receive a 100% refund of the registration fee (the price of the race number, excluding extras such as medals, goggles, etc.), minus the cost of the cancellation guarantee.

Deadline to request a refund: October 15.

If this applies to you, please send an email with your registration receipt to soporte@rockthesport.com to receive the appropriate refund.

I CAN’T COMPETE AND I WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO USE MY BIB. IS THAT POSSIBLE?

As stated in our rules, registration is personal and non-transferable, so this is not possible.

I REGISTERED THROUGH WORLDS MARATHONS, AHOTU, OR FINISHERS, BUT MY REGISTRATION DOESN’T APPEAR IN THE “CHECK MY REGISTRATION” SECTION. WHAT CAN I DO?

If you registered through Worlds Marathons, Ahotu, or Finishers, there’s no problem.

It doesn’t appear on the website yet because the website’s database is managed by RockTheSport, the platform that covers most of the participants. A few weeks before the event, we’ll merge all the databases, and you’ll see that you’re listed there as well.

Don’t worry—you’re registered for the event!
